Once upon a time

Nicko was born on Christmas day last year, and I loved him from the start. Who wouldn't love that face? But, I was getting Molly, she had just been born, and I decided against two puppies at once so close in age.

This weekend I got news that he ended up in a shelter in New Jersey. It's a long story but the breeder is working to get him out, along with several other people who are pitching in to help. If all goes well, he'll come to live with me, where he belongs I guess.

Even if he doesn't end up here, I think he'll be Ok because so many people are pulling for him.  But yeah, I hope he ends up here.

Maybe it's not a sad story-maybe he just took a strange route to get here. Now, if he doesn't make it here, I'll be sad, but not so sad that I don't rejoice at him ending up in a great home-which I truly believe is going to happen for him.

He's a German shepherd, and despite his kind face, the ones with darker faces seem to get into more trouble-due to people's nonsense. (LOOK at that face-what a true heart.)

new jersey??? What the heck??

With a face like that he'll end up in a great home. That little guy looks like he may have some divine guidance going on!
I just hope that if you don't get him, at least you'll know what his story is instead of always wondering.
