Glo's Woes

See, the left (to your right) eye cap did not pull off.

Here, the right (to your left) eyecap shed as it was supposed to do, leaving a clear eye.

We got the mist applied in time, and the other cap came off-two clear eyes.  Glo's head is about half the size of my thumb, his neck the size of my pinky-so I was not looking forward to figuring out how to get the eye cap off.

Well....I'm glad for your sake that this is complete. I'm glad for his sake that you didn't have to pick it off his little head. I'm glad for my sake that I'm only looking at pictures of a divine snake.

Have a good week Deb - want to come to Passover Sedar????

Poor Glo. No wonder he might be cranky with his molting happening. It looks uncomfortable. He looks quite smashing with his new skin glowing .

Snakes are at their worst when they are shedding-it's just an itchy, uncomfortable, blinding, business. So for him to be so quiet while I misted him was really something. I'm so glad it worked, because the next decision point would be risk breaking his neck or blinding him or leave it alone and risk blinding him.

In many ways, the smaller animals are more difficult to deal with.

I would love to come to Sedar-I love the whole progressive dinner/ceremony aspect of it-as long as I don't have to cook.
