Cactus Monday

I did buy a cactus today, but this is not it-I did this this morning. I'm still farting around with layers.

Are we on the same trip? I can see your farting in colours and shapes!

Ring ring goes the bell

That was a pretty good verse. :-)

All I have here are Aloe Vera plants and an apple tree. I do have two raspberry and two blueberry plants to put into the ground.

I was experimenting with a digital version of reverse painting a few weeks back. It's fun, but having a finished image in mind does up the degree of difficulty somewhat..I'm most pleased about the shadow, which was really an afterthought but made the whole thing work much better. I also like the cactus. The sun I waffle on. On one hand, it's dominating and could have been made to fade a bit with some more detail. On the other hand, it's the SUN for pity sakes! But my original thought was to paint a cactus, not a sun with a cactus in front of it...

Okay, I added your verse to my post. It is a fine verse.

The only farting around with painting I do is painting homes and cars and such.

I was painting a fancy home a few years ago when a lady asked me how I got such clean lines, I don't mask things often. I replied with a half bottle of booze. LOL

I need to quit painting cactus and paint my garage door. Maybe I'll paint a cactus ON my garage door.

FY, modern or post bomb? The Atomic Cactus. Makes me want to put a mushroom cloud in there somehwere too, but that is ominous and I'd rather feel hopeful today.

And, you are right on about the angst and all that. I'm totally with you on promoting and showing joy

Mim, no clouds today, although a lovely storm is rolling through now. I'd like to do some storm chasing this year, we'll see.

Hopper, it did come out rather bright didn't it? The others I've done didn't pop out quite so much, but I like this one because it was different, not because it was the same.

It took me a minute to see the cactus. Tired eyes today I guess, sheesh, it's right there! It does look like a reversed painting. Did you do those as a kid where you'd cover the paper in solid crayon and then paint black paint over it and scratch it off? Way too much fun for kids to handle!
