Thanks Mim. Sitting in the hospital this am, waiting for John's cat scan (he's ok)...I ran out of poetry and song, but not humour. I wrote that ditty right before I went to bed-phone rang about 3 am.....Maybe instead of asking for a break I should be saying "bring it on!!!!"

Oh no, I didn't know you even had any snakes left. I'm so sorry about Elvis. It seems the cosmic gods have been tossing all of us a load of crapola. It's time for a break.

Well, I think I've learned what I was meant to learn from the snakes. I wanted to buy a generator and let myself be jeered out of it "what do you need that for...you are wasting money...." It's like KJ's post on "who is on your board of directors?" A painful lesson, but one I won't soon forget.

So, I'm back to "if it's worth doing, it's worth doing right!"

Billie Holiday, eat your heart out!
Don't singin' the blues make you feel better?

I love to sing the blues-and negro spirituals too...or my own version of them. When I was hauling out the dead snakes it was "sometimes I feel like a motherless child..."
