Drive will you?

I drove to McKinney today to clear my head out. It's pretty empty now, and it feels nice, so I think I'll just leave it that way for a bit.

I used to do that a lot ... Drive to McKinney when I needed to think. I'd park on the square and just browse through antique shops for an hour or so. And then drive back. I'd forgotten all about those days and I really miss them. I might have to try that again sometime soon. Thanks for the reminder.

It's strange-I had no desire to go on into Dallas. I wondered around, shopped at the poor outlet Mall in Gainesville (sad sad) and stopped and bought a bowl of beans and cornbread at Ponders (open since 1949).

I have always loved a good drive-it forces you to focus enough to stay alive, but much of you brain can wander around, and you are "on the move"....the car is just the safest place for me to think and dream. Planes are pretty good for that too, but kind of pricey just to think some things through.

Ironically, I'm not sure what I resolved, but I came home feeling like I did resolve something...so who knows?
