Animal Wednesday Mysteries

What do you get when you take one part Sage:

Add one part Vibe

And mix them well? You get

Blastoff Blue Moon Doggie, bred at Blastoff Border Collies. and now residing with me.

He's an awesome pup, completely awesome. Not the dog for everyone by any means-this is a dog for someone who will spend a lot of time/energy on him. These dogs do not do well stuck in the backyard (in fact, the won't likely stay there for long). But for the right person, they are a bit of heaven on earth.

There are more cute dog pictures on Poidogz of the new kid and his new pack.

A large mass of fuzz appeared in the bottom of Oliver the Parrot's cage. Not bird fuzz, or even feather fuzz. Well, it was, in some sense bird fuzz, because it came from a stuffed pink chicken. I'll let Oliver tell you the story.

I am so grateful to Mim for creating Animal Wednesday. It really is a high spot in my week!

now that is one scary looking dog, i don't like these huge ones as i was bitten by an alsatian as a girl. rather have a snake than him.

Border Collies are a favorite of mine, just never had anything for them to herd..I'm sure MoonDoggie will be happy and well satisfied at your place.

Soul-I've turned the comments off Poidogz for awhile-trying to decide what to do with the blog.

There are plenty of things for him to herd, although if he can herd a herd of chi's, sheep don't have a chance. But there are sheep opportunities within an easy driving distance, so he'll get to try that out too.

Vibe, the dam (black dog up top) is little, but she is one formidable dog when she's on sheep. One of the pups looked just like her, only rough coated-I hope the breeder keeps her cause I'd like to see what she looks like when she grows up.

Hey, maybe Oliver and Jack can get their own talk show!
I wonder who tore up the pink chicken? That's some mystery Oliver!

P.S. I'm "over the moon" for you and the kids to have Moondoggie in your family!! He looks awesome. He sure is lucky to have landed at the DK ranch :)

Now that Jack is Jackie.....who knows-could a drab grey bird have any chance with her fabulousness?

oh yes... 'he'... and you'd referred to 'him' in your post... just don't know why i considered 'him' a 'she' when writing... maybe a Freudian slip!!!
hug him for me...
