I feel awful

I'm taking Mom to see her sister today. We are going to drive out the country, swim in the pool and I have no idea why I'm dreading it so. Probably because they will ask me what I've been up to, and if I were honest I'd say "sitting on my ass feeling bad for the most part", but then they'd want to fix it.

I have a new snake coming....can't really talk about that. Momma Gerbil died-but the gerbils are snake food. I get my new motorcycle tomorrow-bad topic. I've been writing, but I don't like to talk about what I'm writing at the moment, so I don't bring it up. Ahhh hah! I went to see Get Smart the other day with friends. I liked it.

And Prissy had a melt down in dog class-another funny story to tell. Let's see, I'm taking Greta and Oliver to a doggy playgroup next week. Now I'm on a roll!

I really do need to get out more, and I'm making myself go today because Mom is looking forward to it. Note to the world: When someone has been reclusive, do NOT lecture them on it the first time they stick their head out the door. It's counterproductive.

talk about the weather, that's a safe topic.you never know, you might just enjoy the outing more than you think you will.

What type of motorcycle are you getting? I always wanted one but am/was a chicken and DH would have a fit if I wanted one now. I guess the mountain bike substitutes.
By the way, you are not "doing nothing". Is being good to yourself after a life of work nothing? is looking after John, and the 'rents - nothing? hogwash! You're a busy lady, making a life for yourself, and being good to the animals!

It was an OK visit-Mom was low energy and a bit crabby and we just kind of let each other be. Not every trip has to be a visit to Disneyland.

I did enjoy visiting with my cousin and aunt and played with the new rat terrier pups.

I really do need to get out more,

I get out way too much, I need to get away more and that is why I go camping as much as I can. Got back today and will start posting in the morning.

How many snakes does one person need? And who is going to care for them if something happens to you? Or if you die.

I have an aversion to taking care of natures critters, I don't want to be responsible for them. I have the cats because they was born on my place and I like cats.

When they die off I will have nothing but my few plants to look after. And if I die first, well, fuck it. LOL

ALL my animals are provided for in my will and I am particularly careful with the snakes to obtain animals that will be easy to place as well as contact info for who will sell them and or buy them.

It is a little too early for me to stop doing things because I might die before I finish-hell, we all might die before we finish-or we might not.

As I speak with my loved ones who are nearing the end, none of them has expressed any regrets about things they did-only things they didn't do.

I'm not advocating beating a path of destruction through the world for your entire life, but I think you (BBC) waaaaay overdo the guilt trip on yourself and others. A little joy won't cause the universe to spin off its axis.

no lecture from this quarter... I don't have any advice for anyone... I usually defer to Fern for stuff like that... (that's a bad joke if you couldn't tell)...

here's a joke instead:

A ham sandwich walks into a bar and goes up and says to the bartender, "Can I have a pint of Guinness?"

The bartender replies, "I'm sorry, but we don't serve food here!"

(groan)
yeah I know... that's bad...
;)

Didja hear the one about the egg that fell off the counter top? He was toast.

Hmmm...I get Hoppers joke, kinda cute. The egg one....?????....oh well.

The egg was toast? When you crash, people say "oh, you're toast"....toast like bread....breakfast foods...play on transmutation (I think that's the word).

I'm glad you enjoyed the visit with your cousin and aunt. I wish I could have played with the pups! Emma is mostly Rat Terrier. I'd never heard of them until I moved out here.
Looking forward to the pics of the new snake that you can't talk about yet :)

Both jokes were that moaning kinda funny. Glad the visit went okay. I make visits to my son, who hardly talks much though of course i love him and love that i can visit. But he lives with his dad, my ex-husband. I want to visit, but it means talking to the ex who actually was just diagnosed with lung cancer so its so sad there and hard to go but I'm assuming this is good for me. I stay about half an hour and if no one else talks at least I get to talk about all the projects I have going to people who can hear. Be well, Suki

A lady on Yahoo Freecycle is looking for an aquarium. Too bad she isn’t looking to give the turtle away, I’ve heard that turtle soup is a real delicacy. *LOL*
