The lion cut for us just keeps him cool without shaving it all off. I don't really like that the groomer here butches his "long hair" because he needs the length to camoflage his big buttocks. I never laugh at Cody where he can hear me, because he is so genuinely proud of his look.
I almost cried when I saw Oliver the dog. He's starting work to become a therapy dog-and his new do and soft eyes made me realize that is probably just what he should be.
I've really missed having Dottie to take to visit people who need it-and soon I will have another one! It just took some time for Oliver to grow and mature before he was ready to take the step.
I have a schnauzer with a schnauzer cut, but his velcro-like hair still picks up twigs, leaves, spiders. slugs, and so forth. If Peggy were willing, our schnauzer would have a Doberman cut.
Even when we used to shave Mike's cat, Spot-a Turkish Van, we just made him look like a shorthaired cat...I don't go for the pom-pom tail, the booties or the ruff...to me it looks like someone got tired and stopped mid haircut, hahameow

What fun. They sure look different with their spring hairdos.
Even when I was a groomer I never understood the desire for a lion cut!
I do love the schnauzer look though :)

They are all so cute. They make me want a dog ... even though I don't want to clean up poop : )

Cute photos.
